Allen Luzak: President, JCN Home Performance Allen is founder and President of JCN Home Performance. He has been involved in the building science field for more than two decades. Prior to starting JCN, Allen was involved in energy consulting and contracting for builders and homeowners, performing energy audits for both residential and commercial buildings. Allen has extensive experience in project management and overseeing jobs from single buildings to large development projects throughout the Eastern Shore area. Allen earned a degree in Solar Engineering from Colorado Technical College. Working out of school, Allen was design consultant and engineer on several large single-family passive solar homes in Colorado. Upon moving east, Allen became active in building science. Allen is the developer of IntelliSeal Crawlspace Technologies—and JCN Home Performance is the exclusive worldwide installer of this unique crawlspace system. Always one to keep up with current technologies, Allen is certified by the Building Performance Institute, the most up-to-date certification for building science professionals. Allen is also a Certified Mold Remediation Supervisor, and JCN Home Performance is a member of the Indoor Air Quality Association. Allen is also a certified Home Energy Rating System (HERS) rater. Most recently Allen has developed an Energy Auditor Training Course and will be teaching this course at Delaware Technical and Community College at the Georgetown and Dover campuses. Along with this project, Allen will be serving as a Mentor for the State of Delaware and Maryland for candidates applying for their BPI certifications.

Daniel Schworn, Jr.: Vice President, JCN Home Performance Dan has been involved with environmental consulting industry for more than 18 years. Prior to joining the JCN team, Dan was employed with a private nationally recognized environmental consulting firm working primarily in New Jersey, Manhattan, and the Boroughs of New York City performing indoor air quality surveys, environmental assessments, and consulting for both the private and government sector. Dan performed and/or directly supervised thousands of comprehensive environmental-related projects including, but not limited to, government funded environmental site assessments, indoor air quality surveys, interior microbial testing/moisture surveys, microbial/moisture control estimates, and remediation for residential and commercial properties. More recently, Dan has acted as both project manager and client liaison during remediation projects associated with microbial inspections/testing, crawlspace encapsulation system and drainage system installations, new construction microbial treatment, and moisture control for residential communities throughout Maryland and Delaware. Of the many certifications Dan has earned, he holds a Bachelor of Science Degree/Graduate Studies in Environmental Management from Montclaire State University and is also an EPA Certified Lead Paint Risk Assessor, Council-Certified Microbial Consultant, Council-Certified Microbial Remediation Supervisor (A.I.A.Q.C #0608085), and an Active Member of Indoor Air Quality Association.
