Ensuring energy efficiency in the design phase:
Invite JCN into your design process to consult with your architect to discuss a number of energy efficiencies that can easily be built into your home. Especially if you’re considering implementing a renewable energy source, you’ll want to make sure your entire system is running at optimal levels from Day One.
We’ll determine the optimal heating and cooling systems, the proper location of those systems, and map out the best duct design. Types of insulation and foundation issues can be planned during this time. Conditioned crawl spaces, conditioned attics, and proper ventilation / air sealing of the home are also designed into the home or addition to ensure it performs properly.
A schedule is provided outlining when all the processes should be installed or completed during the construction process. A testing program for duct tightness, envelope tightness, and proper insulation installation is also put in place. If there is interest in Energy Star, Build America, or another third party certification, we can arrange for that as well.

There is no better time to prevent mold from ever becoming a problem than during the construction phase of any building project.
